IFS gave the latest generation Horizon RD-4055 die-cutting system its UK unveiling at a special open house this week.
A group of specially invited guests were introduced to the enhanced solution which now incorporates a Dual Magnetic Cylinder delivering greater accuracy and sharper results, faster.
The latest system also features a simple receiving tray ensuring the product and waste are delivered together for cleaner, smoother, operation.
Designed to meet the growing demand for short run die-cut products, the RD-4055 has the ability to die-cut, crease, perforate, slit, hole punch and round corner in one process for digital and offset printed substrates up to 0.5mm.
The repeat-register function enables the running of multiple up imposed applications with a smaller die to reduce die cost (Up to 5 repeats in a single pass).
Simple to use, it can feed, die cut and separate in one pass at a speed of 6,000 cycles per hour.
Bryan Godwyn, IFS Managing Director, comments: “The Horizon RD-4055 is an exciting system that allows operations to die-cut a wide range of applications from brochures and folders to point of sale and promotional materials.
“Its quality and productivity ensure it is a cost-effective solution while its efficiency, ease of use and flexibility means it can be contributing to profitability from day one.
“We were pleased that so many forward-thinking UK printers were keen to see how this technology might help them elevate their service offering.”
