IFS is delighted to announce the promotion of Jason Seaber to the newly-created post of Technical Sales Director.
Jason joined the company in 1986 as an Ink Sales Clerk – the same year colour was introduced into newspapers with the launch of Today.
After developing his understanding of printing inks and pressroom chemicals and how these worked with varied paper substrates and different presses he learned more about ctp, printing presses and print finishing machinery. In 1992 he became Sales Office Co-Ordinator before being promoted seven years later to Sales Office Manager.
In 2005 he moved into Technical Sales and covered the Greater London area for all products together with responsibility for all export and UK channel partner sales. As well as these responsibilities, in June 2013, he became a Product Specialist for Lasermax-TecnauGroup pre and post finishing and binding solutions for continuous digital print.
“Jason has an excellent knowledge of the market challenges our customers are facing and is expertly skilled in helping identify ways operations can address these,” comments Bryan Godwyn, joint IFS managing director. “But what makes him so qualified for the job is the fact he can identify the nuances of each company he talks to and helps them create business-wide improvements that places them in a strong position to achieve future growth. In this new role he will help promote this approach across all the sales regions, supporting our highly knowledgeable team in their ability to provide a more effective consultancy service.”
“This is a great opportunity for me to help enhance the comprehensive service we already provide our customers,” states Jason. “As an essential link between the office and the sales teams I will be able to help develop a smoother more effective support process that ultimately helps customers achieve the maximum return on any IFS investment they make.”
