IFS is now offering highly streamlined booklet production capabilities following the launch of the Horizon Foldliner.
The FoldLiner incorporates the AFC-74 Series Folder and the StitchLiner 6000 SaddleStitching System with a VAC-80S collator and the HIF-6000F hybrid interface that support smooth production.
The new system, running at up to 6,000 booklets per hour, has been designed to dramatically reduce human touchpoints. This is because no additional offline processing is required after printing.
It also increases productivity which helps operations improve their profitability.
“A key production benefit of the FoldLiner is that it eliminates the need for separate folding,” explains Bryan Godwyn, IFS Managing Director. “This results in print from a digital or offset press sheet being transformed into a saddle stitched booklet in one complete process.”
The FoldLiner is suitable for digitally printed B2 size sheet and full-size press sheets. It can combine 4-page signatures with 8- or 16-page signatures.
It also offers variable sheet count production via an optional mark sensor. The latter can be used to confirm the end of set for static count jobs for higher security.
