Investing in laminating equipment has become hugely popular over the last five years and there are many reasons why
They include the ability to:
- Reduce out sourcing costs
- Reduce turn-around times
- Take full control of production
- Add extra value to printed sheets with a low cost protective and decorative coating
But that’s not all. Laminators are becoming more versatile. They are changing the way we think of laminating. You can now achieve even more with your laminator and increase your return on investment.
The Foiling Revolution
In the last 12 months ‘Foil Over Toner’ has become very popular. It provides ‘the wow factor’ at an affordable price for short run work – something that was just far too costly in the past when considering a traditional foil blocking.
Now with a digital press and the foiling option for the Foliant Laminators Foiling or Spot UV effect can be offered with ease and at a reasonable cost.
How does ‘Foil over toner’ work?
With your digital engine just print where you require foil and the foil will adhere to the printed toner – simple!
There are the options to add foil to un-laminated paper, or, for a more luxury feel and look, you can foil on to laminate film such as Soft Touch or Anti Scuff Matt.
Foil is available in a wide range of metallic colours as well as holographic and even clear for a Spot UV effect. And with printable foil you can print directly onto the foil and create metallic inks.
All of these extra effects can be achieved with a laminator and the process will transform business cards, luxury packaging, letterheads, stationery, wedding stationery, high end print, book covers, greeting cards and security printing.
Additional benefits include
- Foiling variable data – No die required, simply print where you want foil
- Low cost – No expensive dies needed
- Easy service to introduce – Simple to use so after just a short training program anyone can be confident to foil!
- A value-added service – Make your prints more valuable by adding foiling
