IFS was delighted to again sponsor and present the Best British Book at the 2018 British Book Design & Production Awards. This year the winner was Extraordinary Editions for its book The RAF Centenary Anthology.
The anthology was produced in association with the RAF Museum. It commemorates a hundred years of service and sacrifice, courage and honour, since the First World War, whilst celebrating the spirit and values of the people who contributed to the RAF story.
“This event is a fantastic celebration of the amazing creativity and quality synonymous with great British Book production,” comments Jason Seaber, IFS Technical Sales Director (pictured left). “The RAF Centenary Anthology was a perfect example of this.”
He continues: “We are seeing exciting growth in this reinvigorated sector driven by captivating design. Vital, too, are innovative production capabilities like those offered by our highly automated finishing solutions from suppliers such as Horizon and Tecnau.”
The guest host for the evening was Adam Kay, a successful comedian, author and screen writer. He is most recognised for his book, This is Going to Hurt, where he revisits his former career as a junior doctor. The Sunday Times bestseller spent five months at number one, selling over 700,000 copies.
