IFS Gears Up For Third ‘Real Print and Finish Open House’ event

Apex Digital Graphics and Intelligent Finishing Systems’ (IFS) successful co-operation will continue to offer printers real-life production and performance benefits in 2017 with “The Real Print and Finish Open House” on March 14th, 15th and 16th at Apex’s premises in Hemel Hempstead.

Apex MD Bob Usher: ‘This is the third ‘Real Print and Finish’ show, and we hope to repeat the success of the 2015 and 2016 events. Visitors can see an impressive array of equipment including an SRA1 RMGT (Ryobi) four colour press with live LED-UV drying during the event. RMGT (Ryobi) have historically been both innovators and market leaders in LED-UV drying technology and we now have 11 of these presses installed in the UK.”

“It’s not just about showing off the latest technology, it’s about the process, and we aim to show a range of practical answers to real questions”.

Apex is UK-launching a brand new compact CtP system from Cron at the event. The Cron 26H combines autoload, platesetter and bridge/punch in a unique 3-in-1 solution for the highest productivity and smallest footprint. (More detail on this exciting new machine will be released in the coming weeks.) It can be seen alongside the conventional Cron 36 UVP system. Cron has invigorated short run litho by enabling the rapid production of a four colour plate set for as little as £1 per plate. By arrangement visitors can bring their own jobs and get hands-on advice to optimise their efficiency and profitability. The IPIA will be present, offering free consultations with business experts via pre-booked appointments, and visitors will also benefit from specially selected “Real Deal” event promotions.

Apex will also show a machine from Konica Minolta’s Production Print range.

IFS will show a huge range of high quality finishing equipment. Horizon machines will include the hugely successful Stitchliner 5500 stitching line along with the very latest equipment for perfect binding, automatic folding, bookletmaking (including A4 landscape) and three edge trimming. IFS will also show B2 and B3 Foliant laminators with the foiling options that have proved so popular.

IFS MD Bryan Godwyn: “We are looking forward to the next in a series of collaborations with our neighbours Apex, taking advantage of the obvious synergy between the two companies. There’s a busy event schedule this year but we’re confident our no-nonsense approach combined with a relaxed environment and some truly innovative kit will attract plenty of interest.”

Also confirmed for the event are mailroom equipment suppliers KAS, and punching and binding specialists Renz. Imprint will also show its market leading MIS solutions with real-time connections to the equipment on show. More partners are expected to announce their participation in the coming weeks.

The Open House will run from 10:00am to 5:00pm each day. For further info and registration, see http://www.realprintandfinish.com
